【摘要】:ThisspecificationforGenericCALconsistsofanApplicationLayercontainingacommandlanguageandaMessageTransferServiceElement.ThespecificationsofthelowerOSIlayersarenotwithinthescopeofthisstandard.However,theservicesprovidedbythelowerlayersaffecttheperformanceandcompositionofmessagesissuedfromtheApplicationLayer.TheselowerlayerserviceoptionsarecollectivelycalledtheQuality-of-Service(QOS)availablefromthecommunicationsprotocol.ThisportionofEIA-721standarddescribesthelowerlayerQOSoptionsthatmayimpacttheApplicationLayer.Recommendedcapabilitiesarespecified.Also,amechanismtoconveytheseoptionstotheGenericCALApplicationLayerusingLayerSystemManagementfunctionsispresented
