【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedtohelpusers,particularlypowerplantoperators,maintaineffectivecontrolovertheirminerallubricatingoilsandlubricationmonitoringprogram.Thispracticemaybeusedtoperformoilchangesbasedonoilconditionandtestresultsratherthanonthebasisofservicetimeorcalendartime.Itisintendedtosaveoperatingandmaintenanceexpenses.Thispracticeisalsointendedtohelpusersmonitortheconditionofminerallubricatingoilsandguardagainstexcessivecomponentwear,oildegradation,orcontamination,therebyminimizingthepotentialofcatastrophicmachineproblemsthataremorelikelytooccurintheabsenceofsuchanoilconditionmonitoringprogram.Thispracticedoesnotnecessarilyreferenceallofthecurrentoiltestingtechnologiesandisnotmeanttoprecludetheuseofalternativeinstrumentationortestmethodswhichprovidemeaningfulortrendabletestdata,orboth.Someoiltestingdevicesandsensors(typicallyusedforscreeningoilswhichwillbetestedaccordingtostandardmethods)providetrendableindicatorswhichcorrelatetowater,particulates,andothercontaminantsbutdonotdirectlymeasurethese.Thispracticeisintendedformineraltypeofoilproducts,andnotforsynthetictypeofproducts,withtheexceptionofphosphateestersfluidsusedtypicallyinpowerplantcontrolsystems.1.1Thispracticecoverstherequirementsfortheeffectivemonitoringofmineraloilandphosphateesterfluidlubricatingoilsinserviceauxiliary(non-turbine)equipmentusedforpowergeneration.Auxiliaryequipmentcoveredincludesgears,hydraulicsystems,dieselengines,pumps,compressors,andelectrohydrauliccontrol(EHC)systems.Itincludessamplingandtestingschedulesandrecommendedactionsteps,aswellasinformationonhowoilsdegrade.Note18212;Othertypesofsyntheticlubricantsaresometimesusedbutarenotaddressedinthispracticebecausetheyrepresentonlyasmallfractionofthefluidsinuse.Usersofthesefluidsshouldconsultthemanufacturertodeterminerecommendedmonitoringpractices.1.2Thispracticedoesnotcoverthemonitoringoflubricatingoilforsteamandgasturbines.Rather,itisintendedtocomplementPracticeD4378.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
